Robin Hood Corruption.

President Bush and the gang think they have come up with a grand idea to save the economy from recession by giving us some of the money back they've been stealing the past year.
Trouble is the Democrats, as usual, are using this "stimulus" package to play class warfare.
You see, the Democrats want to "cap" the rebates and only give them to individuals who make $85,000 a year or joint filers who make $115,000. The rest of us can just kiss off and watch our money handed out to citizens who are no less nor no more deserving.
So if you're a family of six making a household of $150,000 you have to sit by while the family of three with a household of $115,000 gets a check for up to $1600 made up partially of your money?
Tell me also why the family of four making a household of $60,000 is more deserving of a rebate than the family of four making a household of $120,000?
What a bunch of B.S. Yet another example of the Democrat vision of America: you're punished for making money and punished for having kids.
There is little question the Bush Administration will bow to the Democrat mafia, for it cares little about whether this wealth redistribution program is equitable in any way.
This Bush plan was no doubt built to suck up to the econo-terrorists in the Democratic Party. The Decider will sell most of us down the river.
So ,how would you like to be a senior, make 10,4 a year and lay out $4000 in meds AND not get any thing "back?" How about COLAs dont include food and fuel. How about medicare goes up $21 a month and your COLA raise is $19. How about EVERY bill you get EVERY month goes up? Pennies yes but they go up any way. I personally dont want ANY of some hard working families money but it would sure be cool to end up in December with the same amount of money I had last December. Did I mention $1700 for property taxes? Your points are well illustrated Jamie we just need big bro to stay out of our stuff (read shit)

Wayne,
I find it hard to believe you are strugging with 10.4 million a year...Flying beer in from Germany every weekend may have something to do with that...
---------------------------------------
I am finding especially over the last three months, how this crunch is hitting folks. My wife and I make decent money together. But we, like so many, had over extended ourselves in the good times. Four years ago we built a home out here in the sticks to get away from our hometown which is going down hill and getting less "home towney". Knowing we both had 50 miles one way into to work etc, but fuel wasn't a problem then. We put our kids into Catholic schools and made a few purchases we are paying dearly for now.
Now we are in a major crunch and cutting corners where ever (fighting to keep satellite TV and my 63 Impala, the "toys").
We could take our kids out of Catholic school and save, but I REFUSE because I have seen the huge positive impact it has had on my kids, it's great!
My wife has talked about taking on a second job, which I also refuse to let happen. She is a fantastic and devoted school teacher... while in college she made the National Dean's list 3yrs in a row, she deserves better. She is making an impact on even seasoned teachers. I work 10-12 hours a day and I will need to take on something else to keep things "comfortable". What ever it takes you know...that's all.
We have been through this once before and it is our own undoing, and we WILL make it out just fine. There are so many more folks worse off than us and I shouldn't really say anything, but it affects us all. We are fortunate to be employed. When things were good, we spent too much, plain and simple. Nothing is guaranteed. All circumstances are different.
Our government does not have the capability of helping families on an individual basis or case by case. Things have to be painted with a broad brush and some folks fall through the cracks, everytime. We can make it without the government "stimulus package"
I am truly just praying that the Dems in their kind and all giving wisdom..come up with a "Beer Stamps" plan.
(That would be the best hand out since government cheese...loved that stuff!)
Thx LTL

Beer stamps....hmmmm I like that. I'll give you a million for your 63 Impala....Also LT this "crunch" doesn't worry me 'cause it's an election year. Hide and watch if things don't get better by summer. The pols cant afford to have "US" mad come voting time. They will fix it albeit with our money. And it's not the German beer I fly in it's the Frauleins that bring it that costs so much. You know 4 Frau's.....Makes me have to go over Viagra falls.

The "stimulus" is bogus and more slight of hand ... the idea If you are to clear 85k and up your fine is total bull .
There are some families with a joint income that don't even make that bar . and guess what . Those are the people that are effected by the economic crunch the most .
Our economy is a Pandora's box , a snake eating its tail , switching seats on the titanic or any other metaphor you can use ...
And Mr. Bush YOUR ANSWER SUCKS !!!
Another screwball way to attack the common man .

It's a band aid Theins.
Long term solution??? Get off the teets of Saudi Arabia and China. Make our own products and get out of being a service only oriented society and make the world depend on what we buy AND build. Out source and build at home. Drill our own oil at full force, buy also and continue with alternative fuel sources at FULL tilt.
Thx LTL

...I think we should cap every well we have in this country. Then when opec runs out of oil we can get all our money back. Wadddaya think? 500 ,800 dollars a bbl.

We have what we need right here! That is what is so perplexing! Use what we have and dig in and build and manufacture the very products and beyond that we have introduced. A huge majority of what is great in technology, we created right here!
WWII and our soldiers the likes of "Rosie the Riveter" and the 4F's, and sacrifices made, helped bring our country to victory and an amazing progress. We set the world on its ear and we let them hi-jack and and make us slaves of our own discoveries!
Son of a B***h! Just like it says on Jamie's BMA Header. "Do What You Can, With What You Have, Where You Are"!
The oil in Saudi Arabia WE cultivated through Standard Oil Co. and made the sheiks rich....What do we get????
Thx LTL

Jamie,
Question, are you against giving "rebates" because we are not in a recession and you don’t think we will be or are you against the methods they are trial ballooning to us? Either or both?

A "rebate" given to people who have paid taxes is nothing more than an after-the-fact tax cut. To the extent that cutting taxes is a GOOD thing, rebates are merely an admission by the government that our taxes were too high to begin with to sustain our economy. So let the rebates roll!
The problem comes in when the Democrats enter the fray. Never ones to pass up an opportunity to further their communist cause, the Dems are painting the "rebate" as unfair if only given to those who have paid income taxes to begin with. I heard Chuckie Schumer say today that the people who don't pay income tax still have to pay payroll taxes. Anyone with half a brain knows that "payroll taxes" are are another name for social security taxes. So once again, the Dems want to tap into the social security "trust" fund to dole out goodies to people who aren't paying income tax. Let's see if ANY Republican makes the case that this is the very reason we need to privitize social security - to keep the politicians' hands out of the cookie jar.
On another subject, Romney vs. Giuliani. Has anyone noticed that the city of New York's economy is about 1.5 times larger than the entire state of Massachusetts?

For sure LTL - Another band-dais indeed .
interesting point with standard oil ... but now let's go further down the rabbit hole :
John Rockefeller was the owner of standard when the federal reserve act was introduced . . . Then was adopted into Amoco and Citgo (Saudis ) . . But the rockefeller ownership never ceased to exist ( the names were just changed ) . . Then as of late we have went into BP ( British Petroleum or as the laymen would call it by the american name "Better Petroleum" )....
John Rockefeller was also on the board of bankers or " Jekyll Island Commision" who signed in the Federal Reserve act , with Jonis Bush ( G.W.B.'s grandfather ) ....
The connection with the power and social elite goes back further than the early 1900's ....
So when we see the economy is in a crunch , the fed is the culpret whether they have a "Band-aid" or not ....
The system is a scam and they are the one's who controlled it , got it into this funk , and should be held absolutely responsible .. And , frankly I think they should have their asses thrown out into the street ...
But , The congress will not audit them because of the connections with the power and social elite ...
(pardon my dates and names may not be completely accurate , It's been a while since I've studied it , But you should get a rough Idea with the historical connections and it's very close )

Now for all intents and purposes :
The Federal reserve , as we are lead to believe , is supposed to be backed by gold when FDR introduced the "new deal " to save our economy and stop the depression . ( The "new deal " is when all the states handed over their powers to the federal government , in my opinion the beginning of the end )
But , economically if gold were the source we would not have this problem , because gold's value has increased through the course of history even since 1913 .
the paper version get's worth less from day to day , because the population
increased , technology advances , international trade , yada yada yada . But that's not important to this point .
It IS the connection with foreign oil and the programs introduced with the OIL companies that controls our economy these days .
1913 - 1932 : Money backed by gold
1932 to present : Money backed by oil
The names have not been changed to protect the innocent , Because none of the names are Innocent .

Thanks John..I'm actually for rebates because I'm against high taxes and the more we empower the people with their own money the better. I'm againstr rebates if it's all part of yet another wealth redistribution program that leaves out certain income levels. In other words, I want a friggin rebate, I want Bill Gates to get a rebate, and I want everyone who pays taxes to get one..and I believe the more you make the more you pay into the tax system so I'm all for rebates as a percentage of what you pay...

When you get to researching the federal reserve and all of that fun stuff , you can really start to put it together ...
I get a kick out of it everytime I see Berenanke ( current Fed Chair ) get on t.v. with some new bogus methodology ...
American Money is really almost imaginary , which is where I have to give our higher ups just an ounce of credit .... Because they let the American citizens actually play with it too .haha ... Like we have the rest of the world dooped into something .
Have you ever seen the show intervention on A&E ??? I really think the American people should do one on the congress and senate for this type of stuff . - just a thought .
--- LTL , look at the number of caucus goers from nevada , this is funny .
I'm having a really hard time believing that 20,000+ living , breathing human bodies went to support Mitt Romney comparatively to everybody else (5,000 +/-) .haha . I think that he didn't get the memo that the candidates weren't gonna cheat this time , haha , so he bussed his people in anyway . maybe just maybe .
If Romney doesn't make the presidency at least we'll no where to get our used cars and snake oil from ! j/k
