That is a ridiculous remark. That dude hesitated in even giving the officer his liscence from the onset.
The dude had his hand in his pocket and when given instructions the smart ass said "What is wrong with you?" and still continued toward his vehicle. It was either taser the guy or strong arm the guy to the ground and hurt himself or the driver.
This officer played his lawful cards and avoided further incident. It's very simple. Do what the hell they tell you and by all means don't start off the conversation by being a smart ass. That is the first indication to an officer that you are trouble.
I am glad the officer knocked this ridiculous pull over out so he could get on with more law enforcement.
Officers don't have time for smart asses and surely will not lay down their guard and put their own lives at risk over dumb asses.
The good officers far out number the bad ones. He is a good one. But the dumb asses far out number the good cops. Lesson learned.
The Ramos and Compean ordeal is completely different and is a smack in the face to all law enforecemnt Lon Neely and was a cheap shot. Good try.

it's not hard to dismiss incidents with good police, the people that investigate these incidents have the man's records to look over, his job reviews, etc. People in a newsroom, and people sitting at a desk lookin at youtube do not have those records. He is an ass on the taser list. He is an ass on the taser list because the officer was doing his job and the citizen was an ass. Pretty simple.
Sorry for saying your name twice.
Your Ramos/Compean argument again is ridiculous and a cheap shot on this subject. No traction.

IRS may postpone processing tax forms
WASHINGTON -- The Internal Revenue Service is looking hard at delaying the start of its filing season, set to kick off on Jan. 14, if Congress fails to pass alternative minimum tax legislation in the next two weeks.
Not so minimal
At issue: How will Congress handle a possible big increase in the number of people facing the AMT.
History: It was passed in 1969 and was aimed at about 155 very wealthy families who used deductions to avoid paying any federal income tax. The AMT disallows certain deductions and credits. It was not adjusted for inflation; as a result, over the years it has hit a growing number of middle-income taxpayers.
Current events: Congress in recent years has approved one-year fixes to stop the tax from expanding. Legislation this year has stalled in a dispute between majority Democrats and the White House. The stumbling block is whether some taxes should rise to offset the cost of correcting the AMT.
Math and taxes
Multiplying: More than 4 million people were subject to the AMT in the 2006 tax year, and that could soar to 25 million this year without congressional action. People who file returns under the current AMT law would have to file an amended return if the law were changed.
Who's affected: H&R Block said 60 percent of its clients who claim credits using forms affected by pending legislation normally file by the end of February. Congress' Joint Committee on Taxation estimates that, without a fix, about half of taxpayers with adjusted gross incomes in the $75,000-$100,000 range will be affected by the AMT this year.
Stop the presses: Some disruption already is taking place. As Congress was leaving for its Thanksgiving break with no deal in sight, the IRS was going to press with the forms for the 2007 tax year. Richard Spires, deputy IRS commissioner for operations support, said the agency has postponed printing the AMT form and 11 others affecting smaller tax issues that Congress has not yet addressed.
More numbers: If there is a delay and it extends into mid-February, it would slow nearly 32 million refunds worth a total of about $87 billion, the IRS Oversight Board predicts. Last year, refunds averaged $2,291.
You just know they are chomping at the bit to raise taxes elsewhere if they do anything at all. This on top of them letting the tax cuts end and the Rangel budget that is nothing but taxes....what do you expect from democrats? Tax, tax, and spend, spend, on buying votes. Reply to this

Well Mr Neely. When you initially watch this clip it does seem very abrupt and harsh to the driver. But the officer prevented any escalation or harm.
