The Dangers of Politician Worship

Hillocrats and Romnicans
may be easily fooled but not the Bull Moosers.
First up on the Unmasking:

The Great Gouge Foolery

I hit on this a bit last post but here ya go. Democrats and some House Republicans come up with a consumer protection ruse called the "anti-gouging" bill. They pass it. The oil guys and leading Republicans attack it. Perfect.
Here's how it works. Our trusty parties get together and do the ol' Sue and Settle shuffle. They know they have to do something about gas price angst. But they also know they have to protect each of their interests.

Dems and Repubs create penalties for gouging and then purposely don't define what "gouging" is.
That means there will NEVER be a gouging case brought , EVER.
Repub leaders and some Dems and oil companies act like the oil guys just got the death penalty.
Done. A total ruse. A fake action and fake response and everyone feels better.
Congress once again avoids any meaningful work on energy policy and the oil guys avoid any requirement to work harder too.

Gore gets pawned for fraud
Yeah, I know. Fox News is sooooooo Right Wing. But at least Brit and his boys have a few things called facts. Actually all the news orgs have facts, they just don't report some of them.

I am just wondering how y'all Mooses feel about Mit Romney. I have gotten tired of hearing the same old crap every time around about each candidates platform, thier values, thier past....but I really want to see a "good guy" stand up for what he believes in with passion. Im sure all of you remember Bush right after the attacks when he was at ground zero...it was passion...it was really him as a visionary. I see those same things in Romney I just hope it lasts. He seems to be doing very well in NH and IA, but is polling low in national polls. Anyways just curious

The gas prices are only going to get worse. We haven't built a refinery since the 70's due to the greenies and the democrat party. The refinerys are working at 100% capacity. Not good when something goes wrong in one. Did you know that demand keeps going up and we are now importing gasoline...which will further influence the price.

    Saw this posted somewhere.
"For those of you having difficulty getting thru to your senator, here is the 800 # paid for by the Mexican Amnesty Activists:

    800-882-2005

This will get you directly to your senator unlike the #’s available to the US Citizen.

Press 1 when you hear a Spanish message, then Press 1 again to be transferred to your senior senator’s office

    OR

Press 2 when you hear a Spanish message, and you’ll be transferred to your junior senator’s office.

You get through immediately and the call is paid for by the enemy!

    _____________________________________________________________________________

This was posted on another forum I frequent, and it is instructions on how to use a direct line to your senators that the capitol has set aside to recieve calls from the pro-amnesty crowd.

I havent had a chance to call it to see if the instructions are accurrate as Im at work.

Someone (preferebly who speaks spanish) please check on this.

Then tell me why the hell they get a direct line while we have to suffer through busy signals and indefinite hold."...

    Richard,

I think Romney is a good man too, I beleive Bush STIll has a vision, I beleive he still beleives in what he is doing. Problem is is that when the Republicans had both Houses and the Presidency they had the world by the ass and had a chance to put America back where it belongs but instead they cowed down, appeased, took careful PC baby steps, and lost their nads along the way..... Turns out the world actually had them by the ass! Same thing can happen to a man like Romney if he gives into Dem and media pressure..The Good American Presidents don't give in. President Bush does truly beleive in what he is doing and the war on terrorism, but he lost me on this immigration fiasco... Compassionate Conservative to me just means he "swings both ways" (so to speak) All Conservatives are compassionate.... This BullMoose bunch are all compassionate people, thats how we were raised, but we don't just give up the farm....we stand and stick to our guns...Compassion doesn't mean step out of the way and take the path of least resistance.... Work hard to get real genuine and hard earned results for our children's future....now thats compassion. Romney is good Richard, but the only person I see on the horizon that may shake things up is Fred Thompson... he seems like he has conviction, and a take no shit attitude and thats what I want in a President..Thx LTL
